Shepherd's Pie by Epicure

  • 1 Pot

  • 1 Sauce pan

  • 1 Wooden spoon

  • 1 Colander

  • 2 Mixing bowls

  • 1 Potato masher

Ingredients
  • NaN packet Epicure Shepherd's Pie Seasoning
  • NaN 1/4 Water
  • NaN lbs Russet potatoes
  • NaN tbsp Butter
  • NaN cup Milk
  • NaN lb Ground turkey
  • NaN tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • NaN cups Frozen mixed vegetables
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Steps

  1. Peel and chop potatoes into eighths

  2. Add to pot and fill with water to about an inch above potatoes

  3. Bring to boil and simmer for about 20 minutes or until fork tender

  4. Transfer to a colander to drain water

  5. Transfer again to a mixing bowl

  6. Add butter and milk and mash until creamy

  7. Combine water and Epicure seasoning in a mixing bowl

  8. Brown ground turkey in a large pan over medium heat, salt and pepper to taste

  9. Stir in reserved seasoning mixture

  10. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and stir while simmering for 2 minutes

  11. Add Worcestershire sauce

  12. Stir in frozen vegetables until heated

  13. Spoon potatoes onto meat mixture and spread for even coverage
